Phone and Bag snatching in Phnom Penh increasing

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

So, you're saying poverty has absolutely nothing to do with crime?

Can you back that up with any sort of research whatsoever? From anyone who's outside a mental hospital? ;)
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right? ;)

I think there's less of it. Just a casual observation.

Poverty certainly does have it's traits in crime. Do you vladimir blame all poor and mental people for crime, are they all criminals?
I would not say so, most have more pressing thoughts with issues like getting medical care, getting fed and staying alive for the extreme.
The one's you should be blaming for the poverty and health, are the people running the country.

You have already posted my same sentiments on the other thread about the blue bag snatch. How do you know not one of the four accused was not in poverty, or a member of his family needing desperate care for an health issue.
Bag and phone snatching is petty crime at it's best, opportunist's to make a few fast bucks. No matter what the implications they are thieves.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
