Post by Anchor Moy »

Jakarta: Indonesian officials have threatened to shut down Bali's prestigious international writers festival, compelling organisers to cancel sessions discussing the bloody massacre of alleged communists in 1965.

It comes as no surprise when you consider that many of the men who committed or ordered the deaths of so many innocent people are still in positions of power, including parliament, all across Indonesia.
Watch the documentary " The Look of Silence." Shocking.

I've meant to watch this after I watched The Act of killing.

You didn't happen to post on LiIEF or the split off Expat Indo forum?

Agreed, it's a great documentary, as is its predecessor. The lack of any remorse by almost all the players is stunning.
Both are on Youtube:

The act of Killing:

The Look of Silence
Silence, exile, and cunning.
