2 Cameroonians & 2 Cambodians Arrested For $3,000 "Black Money Scam" in Cambodia
CAMBODIA NEWS: Four People, identified as Cameroon nationals Aleme Ondolia Aime and Ifomjou Mama, and Cambodians Met Socheat and Chhen Chhinyang have been arrested by authorities for running the infamous "BLACK MONEY SCAM" in Poipet.
They have all confessed to attempting to trick someone into paying them $3,000, and in return, they would give them double their money back. If you are not familiar with the Black Money Scam, victims are told they have been given US dollars which have been dyed black in order to sneak through customs, and all they have to do is "bleach" the money with special chemicals, which the scammers are often willing to help you get, for an extra cost, of course.
They approached the victim about this magic money scheme a month ago, and the would-be victim was quick to realize that the 2 Cameroonians and 2 Cambodians who were going to give him double his money back might actually be attempting to scam him (who would have thought?), so he informed police, who arrested the would-be scammers.
Besides the black money, police also found 6 mobile phones, 4 plastic bags with white powder, some white paper "money, " a bottle of coca-cola, chemicals, a cardboard box covered with plastic-tape, and some other various items to be used to 'bleach' the black money.
