That's not the same as a business registration certificate mate, I'll PM you a copy of ours during the week. What you've got certainly looks legit, but given what you paid for it I'd want to check that it is actually registered with the government. A little like those that can pick up visa EOS renewals (and I DON'T want to hear from anybody that I shouldn't use visa or EOS in this sentence, get over it) for under a hundred - the sticker may be real, but it doesn't mean it's legitimate.

If so, can you remember what a teaching one cost? It would be interesting to know if if were possible to register as a self employed teacher and obtain the work permit that way, it may help some teachers out by cutting out a mddle man.

A nearby foreign school is completing their registration at the moment, and I'm aware of the details - you DON'T want to go down this track, as there are more middle-men involved in registering as an education supplier than any other business type. Possibly only registering as an NGO is more fraught with "visits" and tea parties.AlonzoPartriz wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2017 2:39 pmStroppy, i beleive i remember that businesses come under different categories and they all have different prices?StroppyChops wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2017 2:05 pmThat's not the same as a business registration certificate mate, I'll PM you a copy of ours during the week. I have no information on whether you can register as a self-employed teacher, although I'd strongly doubt it. We had difficulty with our original registration as the government didn't consider us "big" enough to worry about and literally told us to just do business without registering. In hindsight, I'm glad we went ahead and registered as we now get the six-monthly knock on the door.

Alonzo this may help! There is a section for self-employed. I did this to get my WP.

Did you do an online application Stroppy? I notice it has been digitised. Not sure since how long though. Last time I checked was years ago

I noticed on the site i posted it has a section for a Sole Proprietorship.
I'll be interested to see what's under the self employment banner when it finally lets me register.
Is this the site you used to register?

No, we registered a few years ago, before the online system was introduced.
