VERY old Buddhist Statues and Mirrors. Help needed.

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Do you understand that what you did was the same as stealing crosses and communion cups from a church.

You stole religious items. That's really not cool and I'm not even religious!

it's hugely inappropriate and disrespectful to Khmer people, who you claim to love.

Those items should be returned to Sihanoukville with an apology.

It's not even remotely like that. How many times have you seen crosses or communion cups thrown out at the side of the road? These shrines are attached to a place. If a family moves house they will usually leave the old shrine and get a new one for their new house. The old ones just get left there or tossed out.
Spoil sport!
But fair enough, not quite the same.

So I adopted those items as they were leaved there under the sun and rain and NO ONE to take care of them.
I don't think there's a big deal with you taking them if they were thrown away.

I am very Buddhist and I understood fully.

However, as I tried to say before, they are not Buddhist. So you obviously don't understand. They are ancestral shrines and the figures represent the guardian spirits of the grandfather/ grandmother.
Actually. Even better for Me. Cambodian police stoled My Gold Chain so I snatched something Golden. And even 3 Shot classes and everything. :)

The prayer house thingy left at my house... I left the guardians in the alley (and someone took them), but the little prayer house thing was too crappy to be redeemable so I trashed it. I am not religious in any way but I still felt kinda bad. I think people leave them outside because they feel it's disrespectful to trash them. I've seen quite a few abandoned this way.

Why I am participating in this obvious troll thread I don't know.

yeah you get these depots for spirit house dumping. i always wonder if someone has had a run of bad luck and cleaned house on the fuckers- made them homeless and got some new ones in.
though that is not the subject of this thread which is Very OLD buddhist statues and mirrors, which is not what the OP has anyway so may as well talk about any old crap.

I saw plenty of them. I felt bad too. But most sad made Me a street kids. OFFTOPIC.

Most interesting are Spiritual wall flags I robbed from the middle of the downtown almost next to the downtown. Red Flag with a Khmer lady with a one eye and all kind of ancient letters locals could not translate. -> Later I went in the old totally abandoned house. Did some rituals like "Susnai can I come in".
It`s old BIG house almost next to the Golden Lion Gym ( I am member, excellent Place btw. ) I went in. Checked whole Place until I went upstairs and did one muscle up movement to transfer myself into the attic / straight under the roof and found it. Other Red "Flag" which was actually like a "apron" or down part to My other Red flag I found from the downtown. It was interesting as FUUUCK. It was truly Un-natural. I found two pieces that belong together just randomly.

I will post pictures of the text`s later about these red flags when get My pc back. Interesting huh? :D Just randomly. In very random public places. These items mean lot to Me.
I feel like My trip went just how it shoulded to go.

After I found out these. I found a new Ghost house that I robbed properly. There was a graffitis like : "GET PUSSY LIKE THE M DOES, Hoes for free for everybody"

I felt bad vibes. I went all the way inside with My coconut. I checked whole damn Place. It was obvious it was a CRACK HOUSE.

I found out blue flag from the floor. I told old Ladies outside: "Check this out Cambodian Girls" and throwed it outside.

I went one more round, cracked coconut with my elbow meanwhile local old guys were like " YAY YAY " .

I stepped outside and burned blue flag meanwhile Young Cambodian gangsters were making video about it.

It was most maqical moments of My life. IT WAS SUPER SPOOKY YO. Throw all these stories together and add up something. And You understand that spritualism must be

real and I throwed Myself inside COMPLETELY in Cambodia. Can You dear reader say You been doing same things than Me with full support of the locals. Kinda. Not everybody.

I got littlebit "Crazy stamp" from some people. But it was actually okey. I understand. :D

I went all the way inside. It`s opposite side of the infamous Queen.Co casino & Fabolous Japanese restaurant made By Master Shin.

Almost. I don`t know any other landmarks.
