PETITION TO BRITISH PRIME MINISTER OVER KOH TAO DEATHS
http://www.andrew-drummond.com/2017/07/ ... o-was.html
Excerpt: "The mother of a young Briton who was killed on the Thai island of Koh Tao, now widely referred to the media as ‘Death Island’ which is an island in the Samui ‘murder archipelago’ has started a petition to be sent to Prime Minister Theresa May.
Patricia Harrington, from Reigate, Surrey, the mother of Ben Harrington, who was 32, when he was killed in what has been described as a motoring accident on Koh Tao in 2012 insists that ‘things have never added up’ in the case. And even the British coroner refused to sign off the death as accidental. Ben died, according to the British report of a ‘transacted aorta’."

Families of murdered Thailand tourists warn others to stay away
24 March 2018
- When Boyne Annesley texted his daughter while she was on her island holiday, little did he know that she was already dead. It was only when police arrived at his door that he knew something had gone terribly wrong.
“I remember texting her because we were trying to get hold of her for 24 hours saying, ‘are you all right’ — apparently the internet connection wasn’t very good. But obviously she wasn’t replying because she was already dead,” he said.
The unexplained death of 23-year-old New Zealand-born Christina Annesley in the exotic paradise dubbed “Death Island” sounds like something ripped out of the pages of a mystery novel.
Along with rumours of secret CCTV footage, inconclusive blood samples and a mysterious Swedish man, Christina’s death has haunted her family for the last four years. Just what exactly happened to her before her discovery on the beach?
After a string of unexplained deaths on Koh Tao Island, located in the Gulf of Thailand near the party islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Samui, people are beginning to question the legitimacy of its authorities after the parents of the dead, including Mr Annesley, warned of a “serial killer family” that “remains free to rape and murder”...

Corruption, Injustice & Murder Continue to Flourish throughout Surat Thani Province, particularly on Koh Tao
By Ian Yarwood (Australian lawyer)
Death of Bernd Grotsch on Koh Tao
It came as little surprise that when German businessman, Bernd Grotsch (47) was found dead in his house on Koh Tao on 17 June 2018, only DER FARANG initially wrote about his unexplained death, followed later by the Samui Times.
Then in early July 2018, “The Sun” and “The Mirror” of Britain reported on his death as one death of TEN foreigners to die on Koh Tao in recent years. They were followed by a Belgian news service.
There is little information about Mr Grotsch’s death that is available to the public or his family in Germany. It appears that the Royal Thai Police only offered vague theories – that perhaps he died of a heart attack or perhaps it was a snake bite that killed him. At best, such comments betray a tremendously callous indifference to the loss of a human life. At worst, the comments arouse valid suspicions that yet another murder on Koh Tao (aka Death Island) is being covered-up.
After all, a simple autopsy would easily reveal whether this apparently healthy man died of a heart attack or a snake bite (or poison or something else). Snake venom in particular has a devastating effect on the tissue of its victims. A simple examination of the body should make it blindingly obvious whether snake venom killed him.

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
The Koh Tao murders – Still no conclusion, still no answers, still only questions
15 August 2018
Although it has been almost four years since Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were killed on Sairee Beach Koh Tao, the case has never been forgotten. The case is being discussed today almost as much as it was at the time.
This has been one of the most compelling of all suspicious deaths on Koh Tao and there have been many, so many in the last few years in fact that the international community have dubbed Koh Tao ‘Death Island’.
http://www.samuitimes.com/the-koh-tao-m ... questions/
In defense of Koh Tao:
There are no suspicious deaths on Koh Tao!! Angry resident tells the Samui Times
An article published by the Samui Times on Saturday has angered a Koh Tao resident who, in a letter to the publication, insists there have been no suspicious deaths on the island that has been dubbed Death Island by social media users and some international news outlets. Steven Drylie, and ex-serviceman and paramedic in the Koh Tao Rescue Association claims the Samui Times “seems determined to sully the image of Koh Tao by continuously referring to the island as “Death Island” in spite of the fact that deaths are both, more common and less reported, in many other tourist destinations in Thailand. In fact, Koh Tao has been the scene of exactly two confirmed murders of tourists to the island”.
Mr Drylie goes on to say “Your continued bad and inaccurate reporting about Koh Tao is truly wrong. It is almost as if there is a personal vendetta against this island. I do know that one of your reporters became very close to the two Burmese boys is this the true reason why the continued targeting of Koh Tao??”
“In addition to sensationalizing and fictionalizing these truly heartbreaking deaths, some of the writers at the Samui Times are unwittingly casting a shadow across the entire nation. Does anyone over there really think that Samui survives in a bubble and will remain unaffected by the shameless, speculative accounts of so-called “suspicious” deaths on a neighboring island?”

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
With great respect to family and friends who have lost loved ones - when did 30 year old women become "young girls"? These are terrible events, but as someone else mentioned, that is sensationalist journalism.
Another woman referenced in the OP was 23.
I think if you referred to any adult woman as a girl or a young girl to their face, you'd have your hands full.

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
Sadly there is so much bullshit and sensational "news" reports that I never know what is factual reporting and what is "FAKE NEWS".
Every time a news story is released on the internet or online news services it is accepted without question as fact, generally.
I work on the old saying, believe none of what you read, half of what you hear and only some of what you see"
Only stories on CEO are factual

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
LOL Stroppy. Yes, 23 is not a "girl". But the person is still dead, the circumstances are still the same etc.
I think I get what you mean, but dead is dead. Families are still sad. And maybe more sad when it's their kids who die in their 20s-30s ? Parents grieving their dead children are always a bit mixed up.
Shit, i know old people who still think of their 50yo children as kids. Weird if you want, but they still think of themselves as parents, and their children as kids. So the reporting is from the parents' point of view, if you like.

Think twice if ur heading to Koh Tao
MUrder in Paradise;
Watch the UK Channel 4 documentary about the mysterious deaths on Koh Tao…
https://thethaiger.com/news/samui/anoth ... on-koh-taoAnother young British victim reports being robbed and raped on Koh Tao
Another young British female tourist claims she had her drink spiked in a Koh Tao bar, and then was robbed and raped on the notorious Sairee Beach.
Sairee Beach was the location of the rape and murder of young Brits Hannah Witheridge and David Miller back in 2014. The location of the alleged rape was almost in exactly the same location as the earlier double murder.
The Samui Times reports that the girl, who can’t be named for legal reason, didn’t report the crime at the time on Koh Tao, left the island and then attempted to make a police report on nearby Koh Phangan. Her report to UK police claims that Koh Phangan police prepared a report of the robbery but refused to take any details of the rape.
According to the girl’s story, she had a drink in the Fish Bowl Bar on Koh Tao on June 26. Then she and her travel friends went to the Leo Bar, very close to the spot where Hannah Witheridge and David Millar’s bodies were found. She says she remembers having a drink in the Leo Bar and then became very tired. She then claims she passed out and later woke up on the beach with no shorts or underwear. A man was next to her, who she says was smiling, and then he left the scene.

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
No news of the Russian woman, who supposedly had amnesia, either ? She just disappeared...The list of people to die whilst visiting Koh Tao include Hannah Witheridge and David Miller (both from the UK), Ben Harrington (UK), Nick Pearson (UK), Luke Miller (UK, no relation to David Miller), Christina Annesley (UK), Elise Dallemagne (Bel), Dimitri Povse (Fra) Silje Mathisen (Nor), Hans peter Suter (Sui) and Bernd Grotsch (Ger).
In all cases their friends and family claim the circumstances are all suspicious with none of the families, except the mother of David Miller, say they were satisfied with the police investigations. The family of Russian Valentina Novozhenova, who also vanished without trace, also say they found the assistance and police investigation very haphazard.
But again, another reminder to be careful of spiked drinks, and to look out for your friends. Especially on Koh Tao.

Koh Tao is run by mafia families protecting rapists and murderers, Brit teen’s mum tells Thai media
29 August 2018
Leading and respected Thai journalist Suthichai Yoon has spoken extensively to the mother of the alleged victim of rape on Koh Tao.
“Sarah” pulled no punches in slamming the island as mafia run where two families are protecting somebody or some people drugging, raping and murdering tourists.
The claims come as Deputy PM Prawit Wongsuwan suggested that he does not believe there is any mafia on Koh Tao.
After Suthichai spoke to Sarah at length on YouTube about the reasons her daughter did not report the rape on Koh Tao the mother then launched into claims that just yesterday morning the hostel owner where she was staying on Koh Tao had phoned to appeal to her daughter not to talk to the press.
Earlier the hostel owner told Thai media on the island that she thought the victim – named as ****** B**** – was lying.
Suthichai then pressed Sarah as to what she suspected:
She said that people “over there” (in Thailand) were too scared to say the truth.
“This island is run by two mafia families who cover up, sickly cover up, somebody or some people who enjoy spiking, raping and murdering,” she claimed.
“It has to stop. My daughter is a survivor and she managed to come back (to Britain)”.
She added that she has the DNA evidence and hoped that Interpol would be able to get a result.
