Homeopathy

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Nice one SCC, but just so you know there is actually a delete function available. It's kind of lame the way you keep editing your posts down to this "..." garbage. Maybe you could try thinking about whether your post is worth submitting at all before you hit that button? Most of the time the answer will be no, so do us a favor and show a modicum of respect by sparing us from your bullshit?

Recreate the homeopathic experience by drinking a glass of water and throwing $50 out the window.

Out of curiosity, how have you been convinced homeopathic treatment works? I'm still a bit sceptical of it all.

I tried homeopathic sleeping pills once and stayed up all night thinking about how ripped off I got.

General, most people make the same mistake. Once you had received the sleeping pills, you should have paid too for the rip off medicine.

Western medicine is not without its rip-offs, either.

In fact, it probably makes homeopathy look like an amateur.

The premise of 'western medicine' is sound - science. Homeopathy is based on hocus pocus.

It's the drug companies and stupid MDs who have created the clusterfuck western medicine has become. It seems the latest has been to prescribe everyone opiates, and be surprised when they become junkies (heroin is cheaper) because the drug companies said they were not addictive.

Just because you pass medical school and an internship - remember 50% of doctors graduate in lower half of their class - doesn't mean you're very bright.

The Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) have conducted a thorough and independent evaluation of homeopathy. The NHMRC has reviewed the scientific evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating a variety of clinical conditions with the aim of providing Australians with reliable information about its use.

NHMRC Statement on Homeopathy and NHMRC Information Paper - Evidence on the effectiveness of homeopathy for treating health conditions.https://www.nhmrc.gov.au/guidelines-publications/cam02

NHMRC Statement: Statement on Homeopathy
Based on the assessment of the evidence of effectiveness of homeopathy, NHMRC concludes that there are no health conditions for which there is reliable evidence that homeopathy is effective.Homeopathy should not be used to treat health conditions that are chronic, serious, or could become serious. People who choose homeopathy may put their health at risk if they reject or delay treatments for which there is good evidence for safety and effectiveness. People who are considering whether to use homeopathy should first get advice from a registered health practitioner.* Those who use homeopathy should tell their health practitioner and should keep taking any prescribed treatments. The National Health and Medical Research Council expects that the Australian public will be offered treatments and therapies based on the best available evidence.https://www.nhmrc.gov.au/_files_nhmrc/p ... opathy.pdf
