An NGO Actually Doing Good Stuff

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

An NGO Actually Doing Good Stuff

It's ner Psar Thmei

MEC - Medecine de I'Espor cambodge
No. 2AB, Preah Chey Chetha (St. 118), Phsar Thmey

Per very good reports from a friend of mine in the bargirl biz, They or an affiliate send people to the girly bars and invite the girls to have regular STD health checks at the clinic above. I've seen copies of medical records from them. They apparently test for and may provide immunizations against Hepatitis B as well. All services are free.

My contact reports that they are very friendly to the girls and are liked and trusted. She is happy to go there and says that even her "lady boss" goes there.

If you google them they seem to provide other far more complex medical services eg. heart surgery for infants, but I know nothing about that. Also they publish medical journal type research papers on STD epidemiology among those in the horizontally inclined sisterhood.

Good on those Frogs, I say!

Knowing that its every Frenchman's dream is to run a brothel in south east Asian, I see this as more of a recruitment drive. Sort of shortlisting their future employees.

Just joking, I'm full of shit and I'm honestly glad they're here and doing some good.

Thanks for the hint. Her bar could use a management consultant. Now that DSK is finis at the World Bank and has exhausted his wife wellnigh boundless patience, might he be available? Bastille Day is before us. Let the Gallic spirit rise.
