That shuddering was nothing compared to the forces the wings and tail must endure during violent turbulence. They're built to withstand a lot.
I was posting while UT posted that video link, and in hindsight it doesn't sound like a flight attendant (AisAsia cabin crew are all pretty young), so probably was pilot or copilot after all.

says right on the video;
PILOT
PILOT

Re: Air Asia flight turns back due to technical problems.
Actually it says CAPTAIN. And the person speaking does not actually identify themselves in the video. It is Channel Seven that credits it as the captain. Anyway as I said previously I had read elsewhere it was actually a cabin crew member (purser or chief flight attendant whatever) but it sound like an older guy so quite probably the captain/pilot. Just in case I need to reiterate what I have already posted so you can comprehend it.

- The Malaysian low-cost carrier said that "flight crew are taking precautionary measures to check the aircraft".
AirAsia issued a statement on Monday saying that it was conducting an investigation into the cause of the incident together with engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce.
"The safety of our guests and crew is of utmost importance to us," it said. "We are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the incident together with our engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce. We are also cooperating fully with the local aviation authorities."
AirAsia added that all airlines within the AirAsia Group were undergoing voluntary safety audits by the International Air Transport Association.

Another emergency landing in Australia for Air Asia this week.
AirAsia flight from Aussie Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur suffers mid-air emergency after hitting flock of birds
Published: 04/07/2017 10:51
SYDNEY, July 4 (Xinhua) -- An AirAsia X flight from the Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur has been forced to make an emergency landing in Brisbane late Monday evening, after the Airbus A330 collided with a flock of birds shortly after take-off.
Passengers aboard flight D7207 reported to have heard "four or five loud bangs" on the right side of the aircraft.
"I could see an orange light coming from the windows," one passenger told local media.
"Someone said the engine's on fire and we should pray but mostly everyone remained calm."
According to Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority, "there was evidence on the runway of a bird strike," spokesman Peter Gibso said.
Adding that, a flock of plover birds appear to be the culprits, as there carcasses were found on the tarmac at Gold Coast Airport.
Despite the rough ride, all 345 passengers and 14 crew were uninjured and local media reported that the passengers clapped and cheered when the plane landed safely.
The incident is the second in just one week for AirAsia, after an aircraft in Perth was also forced to make an emergency landing after suffering engine problems.
