Thumbs up to Joon. makes no difference if she's a woman or not.
She writes great posts in what I imagine is at least her second language.
It is nice to have female posters about though - especially ones that say cunt.

So you're a feminist?
Aww, isn't that cute.
Joon, I'm not suggesting you're Germaine Grear or anything, I just like the above gag.

Joon
Posting on here is surely more time efficient than responding to people individually! If you are time poor, you could give up the 440 PR job, where you appear every time it's mentioned to spin it with illogical, contradictory and biased posts. I will try not to address you to help save you time, but maybe you could let us post our thoughts on 440. without being lectured to, if we have the time to waste? Thanks.
This is meant to be a great book on time management.

I was puzzling about this last night. Is it a common occurrence for people to get asked to leave the guesthouse they are staying in?

I'm not a feminist, Crabtree, I actually think that feminists are misguided.
UKJ, you're basically asking me to censor myself. Nice.

If it's any consolation, I'd still call Nirvana a psycho whackjob who needs to seek medication for their severe victimization issues.Soi Dog wrote:If nobody knew they were female, would either Nirvana's or Joon's posts get any special recognition on either forum? Would you be giving such kudos for just another dude's posts, one whom you don't know anything about? Of course everyone will be answering "definitely, yes" to that question publicly...but do they really believe it?Cowshed Cowboy wrote:I think Joon's an excellent poster personally, her joust with Nirvana on 440 was one of the best I followed there or here this year, so I am glad she is over here and standing her ground under quite heavy attack. She's polite and humorous, hang in there Joon.
Isn't giving female posters special praise for their posts a bit insulting to them...as if good posts weren't particularly expected of them?
And I'd still have them on ignore.

That's the issue to me... and it's purely on par with the khmer440 moderation manifesto: "Inconsistency"General Mackevili wrote: But even he mentions us, Scobie mentions us, AiA mentions us, etc.
So, it's not like he has some rule about it, he just deletes and bans people that seem to publicly favour us, or even hint at it, here or there, so you're smart to come on here and say these things if you fear being banned from K440.
Rule: Don't mention the other forums.
Application: Unless you're saying bad things about them.
or is it:
Rule: Mention other forums all you want.
Application: Unless you're saying good things about them.
Re: CEO and Khmer440 reach a GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT!
I do not care a jot about Joon's gender, in fact I would think it patronising to do so. IF, and it is only an IF, I was to cut someone a little slack, it would be that they are posting in their second language, male or female. To post, with an obvious full command, not only of the language but of the complexity of the humour, on a forum with many different Western senses of humour demonstrates a much stronger higher level of understanding and therefore commands a higher level of respect, in my humble eyes, than gender.
The English sense of humour, for example, is a complex thing that many fail to grasp, look at the Americans, they need to remake (Dumb Down) every quality comedy we ever make.
