I must be missing out on so much, not even knowing what Tapatalk is.
Is it something that I need?

certainly weird. my guess would be that you've got some common factor between them making issues. an app that's interfering/etc.StroppyChops wrote:Happens over three unrelated connections on four separate devices, but it's a minor first world problem.

Re: Four simple steps to crack down on petty crime
Filipino scammers are still operating along the river.
Yesterday around 5pm I was walking along the river front when a man with a Filipino accent asked me to stop.
I played along this time, and his opening question was 'where did you get your shoes?' They were some Caterpillar shoes that I bought here a few months ago - nothing remarkable about them other than they have lasted longer than any of the crappy shoes I've bought here before.
Then came the 'do you live here, how long have you stayed here' questions. I had a fair degree of certainty that he was going to lie to me, so I lied and said I had just come recently. That led to the where are you from questions, so I told him where I was from and of course, he had a sister who was going there.
He then wanted me to come and sit down and talk to his friend - and pointed to a sinister looking Asian man that was sitting on the wall. I declined his kind offer and said to him 'I know what you are doing, I live here', pointed to him and said 'gotcha!' It was worth the time just to see the look on his face.
For those who don't know, these guys are scam artists who will set you up by inviting you for a meal that turns into a rigged card game, followed by a trip to your ATM.
Beware of overtly friendly foreigners that feel it's necessary to strike up conversations about your shoes, shirt, hat, sunglasses or whatever. These arseholes operate along the river, around the palace and I've even had one stop me when I was going into a St 19 convenience shop.
