The report in CN's link says -

"The U.S. does not have an extradition treaty with Cambodia, so it's not clear yet whether Tang could be forced to return to the Bay Area to face any possible charges if he is found."

What is situation? I thought pedo's got sent back if the US wants them??

They get their passports cancelled and are thus illegally living in Cambodia.

He may be both Cambodian and American. But he's definitely Cambodian, yes. And the pedos who get sent back to the USA are not Cambodians and always get arrested by Cambodian police on immigration violations when the USSA revokes their passports.

If he's a Cambodian citizen, he's in the clear, as long as he never leaves Cambodia.

Find his Cambodian family and he should be not far away. True that there is no extradition treaty, and relations between Cambodia and the US are cool to say the least, but after all, this is a murder charge and the Cambodians might be happy to get rid of him.

Best of luck to the family of the victim to find the killer and get him sent back to the US.
