New words well suited to forum posters...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Moving to a country where in this part of the world where people been practicing buddism over a thousand year became part their way of life and tradition before Jesus or the Virgin mary is born. Are they going to be cursed to hell because they werent baptised?
I'll answer as a "Buddhist".

Personally here's how I see it. In the Bible as far as I can tell, followers of Christ and churchgoers are two separate entities. Remember in Jesus's review of 7 churches, each church had their goods and their bads so it's clear that one church isn't the only right way to God since Jesus is the judge, not the church. So just because someone is baptised or not doesn't mean they are going to hell, they'll be judged on their works at the day of judgement.

Don't know how you Mods find the patience to read some posters' defecations. Once a sociopath, always a sociopath. Anyway, got another name for the Ignore list.

Paul Verhoeven, the director of such greats as Robocop and Starship Troopers, etc, is a biblical scholar and wrote a great book, Jesus of Nazareth, an analysis of his nibs' story from the bible. It's a good read, less tedious than the bible. The religion here seems to only have a thin veneer of Buddhism, judging by the number of "ghosts" that seem to lurk in every nook and cranny. More Hindu/animist than Buddhist. Each to their own
