New Zealand expat David Allan Divine passed away in Phnom Penh
4 May 2017. A 51 year old New Zealand man, David Allan Divine is reported to have passed away at his rental home in Phnom Penh, a couple days after complaining he had pain in his arm severe enough that his wife suggested he went to the hospital to get checked out. He was found lying by the sofa in his living room at 7:10am by his wife, 29 year old Meas Lyda. There are no suspicious circumstances. David Divine apparently died of a heart attack and the family has requested a traditional Cambodian funeral. RIP.

For once I actually think this was a "heart attack".

Make me think I should probably stop having burgers and pizza every day, for 2 meals. Coffee doesn't go well with my morning pizza anyways.
RIP.

Seriously if your in Phnom Penh go and get a checkup at Central Hospital http://www.central-hospital.com/or with your preferred GP or service. A consultation with blood tests and doppler scan will probably come to just over $100. Heart disease is occurring in younger people.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2017 8:43 pmTrue story.AE86 wrote:For once I actually think this was a "heart attack".

I've posted this before but maybe worth repeating:
A new study examining the cadavers of 760 teenagers and young people found early signs of blocked coronary arteries caused by cholesterol buildup, suggesting that preventing future heart disease is “a pediatric problem,” researchers announced today in the journal Circulation.
One-fifth of the young men aged 30 to 34 already had advanced plaques, or deposits of fat, inside their coronary artery, pointing the way towards future heart attacks and strokes. Males were more than twice as likely to have the plaques than women of the same age range.
The biggest risk factors for a clogged artery were found to be obesity and a high level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the so-called “bad” cholesterol which forms deposits on artery walls. Those with LDL levels above 160 milligrams per deciliter were 2 ½ times more likely to have one of these advanced plaques. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=118124&page=1
And for everyone, if you have pain in the chest and arm it needs to be checked out immediately, it could save your life.
Heart attack symptoms
These are the most common warning signs of a heart attack. You may have just one of these symptoms, or a combination.
Discomfort or pain in your chest
This can often feel like a heaviness, tightness or pressure. People who have had a heart attack have commonly described it as like “an elephant sitting on my chest”, “a belt that’s been tightened around my chest” or “bad indigestion”.
The discomfort may spread to different parts of your upper body.
Discomfort in your arm(s), shoulder(s), neck, jaw or back
You may have a choking feeling in your throat. Your arms may feel heavy or useless
