Jordan Caleb Christensen,35, US, found dead in Phnom Penh hostel.

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Is the bed inside a locker? Weird setup.
Yeah, some kind of weird dorm set-up with cubicles? Who the hell would want to stay in there? It's not like normal rooms are expensive here.

88 is close to lakeside. Therefore close to drugs.
Wasn't that the place a fight between locals broke out and it resulted in bodyguards in a range rover firing off some rounds?

Not so long ago we had 2 other drug related deaths at backpack hostels... Mad Monkey and some Happy place. Usually this would only happen at guesthouses. I wonder if these places will actually start adhering to their drug abuse policies they so proudly proclaim on their websites.

No idea why, but this topic about Jordan Caleb Christensen seems to have gotten a bit of random traffic today. I can only assume there was some sort of update on it all or something.

I randomly see that they had started a GoFundMe account, which raised almost $9,000 to fly his body back to the States.

I really want to know why this particular topic is getting unusual traffic again today, 6 months after Jordan Caleb Christensen's death.

Can anyone explain?
