Another case of armed military road rage in Phnom Penh.
A military bodyguard has been arrested for threatening to kill a government official over a minor traffic accident in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district.
The suspect was identified as Lieutenant Colonel Keo Mov, 41, a bodyguard with the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces’ Brigade E70.
Lay Vibol, an officer with Kandal Stung district military police, said the bodyguard was arrested on Monday evening.
The violent incident took place that afternoon when a government official bumped his car into the bodyguard’s military-issue vehicle.
The suspect did not know the victim was a government official, Mr Vibol said.
“He got angry at the victim for hitting his car, so he took out his gun and pointed it at his head, threatening to shoot him,” he explained. “Then he got in his car and fled.”
The victim phoned local military police and asked them to intervene. After arresting the suspect that day, officers confiscated his pistol and several bullets.
Mr Vibol said the bodyguard was preliminarily accused of illegal weapon use and attempted murder. He has been detained and will appear at Kandal provincial court for questioning today.

Oops.
I wonder what would have happened if the victim wasn't a government official?

Is it my imagination or do people in totality increasingly lack coflict resolution skills?

Probably your imagination. I have read of many resolutions to a conflict being solved by the skill of using a gun.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
