Scammer Steve in Cambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. so maybe he is reformed

Yeah, he was caught robbing a bag or something in Siem Reap. I know him for years, he's never tried to scam me for some reason....

He only approached me once, near Psah Thmei, with his lame "Do you speak English?" line. I replied "No I don't fucking speak English" or something similar. He never bothered me again.

I used to work with Jamie. It was rather sad watching his meltdown.

Many years ago I was approached in a cafe in Bangkok by an obvious scammer. Usual story.
I replied " Really? Shit, mate, same thing happened to me just last night. Some bastard in Soi Cowboy stole my wallet and passport. I'm waiting to hear from some friends who can help me out."
As he looked down at the plate of food and Chang beers on the table, I leaned towards him and whispered " To be honest, mate, just between me and you, I had to scam 10 bucks of some dumb backpacker to pay for this."
The look on his face was priceless.

There's a bald guy in Kep who is tired of being mistaken for Steve the Scammer.

It would be pretty hard to get those two mixed up. The old Steve's got that street look, this guy in Kampot does not.

Met Steve early last year in Otres on long beach.
Have also seen him once this year too.
Is he still around Otres?
