This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Here's a similar one in Phnom Penh by the 7 Makara overpass. I regularly see these.

Exactly! Part of my balcony faces the back area of a khmer's family restaurant where they prep and cook food to be served up front, and was actually inspected by a 'health' official. Let's just say I would only eat there if I was starving. I'll take a pic tomorrow, it's full of garbage and rats scurry around day and night on clean dishes and cutting boards, the kids piss in the area where they wash dishes, etc. It's quite interesting watching them chop pork and chicken with an axe though!

Health and sanitation practices include ensuring every khmer has scratched there anus pre meal preperation andpost meal preperation then couched , sneezed and blown there nose within a 5 cm metre radious and has also allowed ants roaches and road dust into contact with the food for which by law must be atleast 48 hours old.

Where I lived previously the men, boys and young girls piss just next to where mum prepares food, does the dishes and clothes. Gee it must stink in that area. It's a wonder that they are not shitting there as well, or maybe i missed that.
