Magic monk in trouble for birthday boxing.
Who knew that monks are forbidden to do boxing routines, but are allowed to have birthday parties ?
Perhaps he's a bit young, fun and popular for some of the religious authorities.
A young monk renowned for his knowledge of magic has come under investigation by the Ministry of Cults and Religion after performing a boxing routine at a celebration for his birthday on Saturday.
Ministry spokesman Seng Somony said the religious task force committee has been sent to investigate the case of 22-year-old Venerable Heak Loeng, also known as “Ta Ouv,” or the great grandfather.
He is accused of performing the boxing routine at the Porthisath Kirirom mountain temple in Phnom Srouch district in Kampong Speu province.
The ministry was alerted to the monk’s behavior after a video of the routine was posted to Facebook on Sunday. The footage went viral and attracted widespread criticism.

Keo Bunthan, a police officer in Phnom Srouch district, said Venerable Loeng is a well-known magic teacher, respected by people in the province and across the country.
Bun Kimsong, a 25-year-old student of the monk who was present at the ceremony, yesterday told Khmer Times that Venerable Loeng had performed the boxing routines because spirits inhabited his body when the Khmer music played.

Re: Magic monk in trouble for birthday boxing.
Jamie maybe you could perform a sort of exorcism
(now pope francine approved) on this misguided monk. You learn some magic from him & he learns some quick sharp moves from you. Now that's a win win.
