Body of 15yo girl found in canal, Otres, Sihanoukville.

13 March 2017. The body of a young Khmer girl, believed to be 15-16yo, was found at 2pm today in Phlong(?) canal on the sealed road between Sihanoukville town and Otres Beach (near an Alain Delon billboard.)
The body was in a state of advanced decomposition, wrapped in a sheet, and the victim is believed to have been dead for several days. First conclusions by the police are that the girl was raped and killed elsewhere and later dumped in the canal. The body is now being kept at the hospital for forensic tests.
Police are searching for the killer.

very sad!
a lot of girls dont just get raped here, but killed after so they cant tell anyone

It does seem like a very common act after a rape in Cambodia. So bloody sad. I thought Thai girls had it rough. Rape and other sexual assaults of very young girls seem to be common in Vietnam, too.

RIP young lady.

I don't get it! This is a country where a sexually frustrated local can go down to the local chicken farm and pay a couple of bucks to get his rocks off. But they have to resort to this! WTF is wrong with some societies here? That's someones daughter, a young life just ended. Probably when/if caught, do little time if money is paid.
Bring on capital punishment for evil twats that are guilty of crimes such as this! :evil:

Rape is usually driven by the male wanting to have control and power over the victim, not just to purge their balls of semen. And yes in many cases they know each other so sadly themurder is next. So unfortunately a visit to the chicken farm will probably not stop all these rapes in the KOW.
