CEO and Khmer440 reach a GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT!

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

For what its worth I happened to quite like his input, even when he was on the turps.
It reminded me of monty pylon flying circus, ridiculously abstract, mostly pointless, but occasionally very funny.

His wife is an orphan, and the daughter is about 14 months old.
The NZ gov have denied them a visa.
There is no family to help him.

I've been involved in groups like "The Wood Ducks Club" in the past where we would get together once a month and run a couple of raffles, auctions etc and donate raised moneys toward worthy causes or the needy.

I'm not sure if CEO has attained a size as yet to support such a thing, but I believe it would be a very noble gesture for the forum to support a monthly gathering to perhaps raise a little money for expats down on their luck. It would certainly enhance the sites reputation locally as well as looking after their own a bit.

Just a thought.

That is a great idea and one which I would also fully support.

Wow, good friends indeed!

I've already received $100 through PayPal, which I'll be getting to him ASAP.

He has NZ residency, right? If I knew him I'd tell him to go home without them and work for a while. Plenty of expats do that.
