I doubt it, Wenger is not in Cambodia.giblet wrote:The owners seem certain that it is arson, someone was seen running away when the fire started.

And the damage is pretty clearly they sort where someone doused it in gas and lit it. No deep structural fire.
My guess would be someone not happy about competition.

A picture can tell you a lot. The boat is diesel powered. You only get temps high enough to melt railing/deck when diesel is under great pressure like a broken fuel injector line while the engine was running, which in this case, it was not. From the looks of the boat I would say that an accelerant like gasoline was used to torch the boat. I don't see a flashpoint where the fire would have started, but it seems that there is a uniform color/charing indicating the fire started all over at one time. I would love to see this close up.
The (sleeping) security guards say that the fire was an electrical fire. When did security guards become electrical experts (or smarting than a box of rocks) I'd like to ask them what 220 volt 50 cycles AC is and how it is different from 220volt 60 cycles AC and what AC and DC means. I'd wait and see if one of the guards suddenly owns a new moto.
Me: 5 years on a fire department with two years as Emergency Medical Technician, over 30 years on shipboard fire brigades, US Coast Guard Fire Fighting Training. Holder of valid Basic Fire Fighting Certificate and Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate.(from the same school the US Navy uses.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

What I've heard the fire started at the bow of the boat... where there is no electrical wiring or fuel.Sailorman wrote:A picture can tell you a lot. The boat is diesel powered. Pretty sure that was one of the boats that burned.... the Khmer owned party boats all seem to be fine though...Cowshed Cowboy wrote:Is that flashy new boat with office on the pier the only competition or are there others ? Who are the competition.
