Support the Tibetans.

It's just a region of China now, no more chance of it becoming "free" than the US giving Alaska back to the Russians.

I'll bite.

It's a wannabe country, it's where the band Wu Tang is from, it's probably the only subject that gets the Dalai Lama's panties in a twist, and it's cold there.

Is there more to know?

Colossal Han immigration has altered the ethno-cultural makeup of Manchuria, South Mongolia, East Turkestan and Tibet
out of all recognition; unless there are unimaginable political changes in China* sometimes in the future, the Han are in
Tibet to stay.

Still, miracles can happen; the Javanese marched out of East Timor - but, sadly, NOT West Papua.

On the other hand, the Turks still prop up their absurd statelet in Cyprus and the Moroccans are still in Western Sahara

* Like when the Portuguese "Young Officers" in their adolescent wisdom decided to dump the Overseas Provinces and set
in train a process which eventually led to the Great Change in Southern Africa.
