Who is western woman tourist found unconscious on Lonely Beach, Koh Chang?
Authorities have drawn a blank as mystery surround the identity of a western woman found unconscious near Lonely Beach, Koh Chang on Tuesday.
After more than 12 hours had passed the woman was still unconscious and was on a respirator though her heartbeat was normal.
There was no evidence of alcohol or signs that she had been attacked.
She was initially rushed to the international clinic on the island but yesterday was transferred to the mainland in Trat.
Police are mystified – there was no identification on the woman and enquiries at resorts and of transport in the area have all turned up nothing. Nobody knows who she is or when she arrived in the area.
Meanwhile the woman remains on a respirator in Trat still unconscious.
Police said she was dressed in a white t-shirt with an orange and black skirt.

Re: Who is western woman tourist found unconscious on Lonely Beach, Koh Chang?
In the case of another western woman who was found dead on a beach on Koh Chang in August, an inquest at the Northampton County Hall has ruled accidental death by drowning. A British teenager, Bryony Freestone, from Northampton UK, was found washed up on the beach on August 14 2016. For the moment, there is nothing to link the two cases, but the resemblance between them is troubling.
Tragic Bryony Freestone, 19, was found washed up on Koh Chang beach at 9am on August 14 while on a dream holiday.
Locals tried desperately to revive her on the beach but Bryony, from Northampton, was later pronounced dead at hospital.
An inquest at Northampton County Hall heard how nobody saw the Exeter University geography student go into the sea.
Recording accidental death, senior coroner Anne Pember said: “Bryony went out swimming on her own in Thailand and sadly drowned.”
A staff member at the KC Grande Hotel said that as he was working at the restaurant he was informed by another member of hotel staff that a person was lying on the beach.
“He went to check and found a female foreigner lying on her back.
“He tried to wake her up without success. Her cheeks were blue so he performed resuscitation techniques.
“The deceased was taken to Ko Chang clinic and she was later confirmed deceased at the hospital.
“Police interviewed people on the beach, but no-one saw her when she was in the water.
“They gave the cause of death as drowning.”

Koh Chang beach. Beautiful, deserted, and dangerous for young western woman. In the past six months, one was found dead and the other unconscious on the beach. No updates on the latest Koh Chang victim.
