GSM... the appeal?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

GSM... the appeal?

Post by IraHayes »

Been in my new apartment a month and just realized that I am literally just round the corner from GSM. So here i am... sat with a beer... early i guess at 9pm. Seems ok. Is there a twilight zone time i should avoid? Only came here to look for some thing to eat.

When all other places are closed, can always get hot food there. Can also find someone to give the rest of it, if I've ordered too much food and can't eat it all. Last time I needed a munchie (a few years ago), got pizza at 3 AM. The night before, tamarind fried clams.

There is zero appeal, unless you're a meth-head ...or enjoy the company of meth-whores, meth-pats and death-pats.

I'm really disappointed. No one has tried to sell me drugs. There's no drunk Barang fighting. It all seems very calm. Oh well.. one more beer and lets see.
