Good used amp and speakers shops?

Post by jah steu »

Anyone know where I can get a decent used amp (maybe 80W a channel) and good speakers?

Are you on PP Buy and Sell on Facebook? Someone is advertising that at the moment.

I can't seem to find it. There is one page with this name but it's empty. Do you have a link?

It's a closed group so you need to request membership before you can see the content. There should be a Join button of some sort. Sorry, though, I just rechecked and saw that the poster is selling a mixing desk and speakers, not an amp. My bad.

Thanks. Managed to join eventually. Interesting stuff for sale. But I somehow missed all the smartarse comments you get on K440 and here when someone posts a for sale ad!

They happen, you just have to read them before the overly PC mods clean them up. Also, if a poster whines that somebody said something they didn't like (such as, "this person is a known con artist" or "isn't that the fifth Macbook you've sold privately in two days?"), that gets cleaned up too.

My buddy is the distributor for Clones Audio amps and has some speakers as well. He's in HCM but has some stock here.

See Audio. Union

PS, hate to get all audiophile on ya but you don't need an 80w/CH amp if you don't know what speakers it will be matched with. My amp at home is 2.5w/ch. The one at Garage is 15wpc.

Thanks for comments. Yes I probably don't need as much power as I think I do, though this set up is for a busy hostess bar where sound seems to get absorbed by all the people in the bar.
I'm still trying to find the group of second-hand audio equipment shops that I think are near central market. Last time I got nice Bose speakers and a good Marrantz amp from them. I've just forgotten where they are!

There are also two real audio shops on Russian Fed just west of Monivong. Design Audio is a Marantz dealer.
