July weather in Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. July weather in Phnom Penh

Post by ExPenhMan »

I may have the opportunity to visit PP for the first time in 6-7 months. The Weather Network shows PP highs of 34-35 every day. Weather Underground shows 30-31 every day. At least they agree on thunderstorms most days. But it is the rainy season so they're bound to be right.

Has it been hot? Has there been lots of rain and flooding on St. 51 and Psar Kandal? Here in Pattaya, it's been coolish with occasional hot mid-afternoons of 33-34.

No Cambodian holidays in July so that's a plus. Here in TH there's a no-alcohol Buddhist day on July 11.

Anyway I have lots of things to buy and take back here so am looking forward to getting back to one of my fave cities and former home.

A few flash floods so far, that's it (with mentioning).

July's forecast:

Hot and raining with a chance of rain.

There is a new one off PH on the 11 of July this year as the will be moving the old kings ashes. I'm guessing it is a special day in the Buddhist calendar if it is a non alcohol day in Thailand.

I think this is just for this year though and will not be carried on.

Time will tell I guess.
