Tourist minivan rolls due to motorbike not paying attention..
Eleven Taiwanese tourists and one Cambodian were injured – four seriously – yesterday when their bus swerved to avoid a motorcyclist and rolled several times.
The accident happened in Kampong Thom province when they were traveling from Siem Reap province to Phnom Penh.
Kong Vimean, the Kampong Thom deputy provincial governor, said eight of the 11 Taiwanese were women. A Cambodian translator was also injured.
Mr. Vimean said: “We went down to the scene and helped them to send the victims quickly to hospitals in Phnom Penh.”
He said the Sunly Company bus driver tried to avoid the motorcyclist who crossed the road without paying attention in Stung Sen town.
“The bus driver fled the scene after the bus rolled many times, but we already knew his identity. Police are looking for him to arrest him,” he said, adding that the motorcyclist left the scene as well...

In Cambodia, all drivers flee the scene of the accident, even when they are not at fault ...

So why does the bus driver flee when a motorbike is clearly at fault ? The driver of the motorbike fled also...
because of fear of mob justice, right or wrong

Because the bigger vehicle is automatically blamed at first.

I thought it was because the driver with the smallest brain is always blamed first. A bus driver carrying passengers should always drive prepared for a emergency , wether it be a moto , a cow , a kid or a pothole.krisduncs wrote:Because the bigger vehicle is automatically blamed at first.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Three Taiwanese Tourists Severely Injured in Crash
by Brian Leli | November 12, 2016
The company told The Taipei Times and The China Post that the accident occurred on Wednesday morning when the group’s bus swerved to avoid a head-on collision with a motorcyclist, who was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road, and overturned.
The three who were seriously injured were being treated at a Phnom Penh hospital, while the other members of the group—including five who sustained minor injuries—were to have returned to Taiwan on Friday, the travel agency said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that it would assist the family members of the severely injured tourists if they wished to visit them in the hospital, the Times reported.
