These people should have left Thailand a long time ago, or never come at all.

I guess when you've got "33 million" tourists coming a year (2,750,000 per month, nearly 100,000 per day), you can afford to harass some hippies.BANGKOK – The Proprietor of Bangkok’s Overstay Guesthouse Yuval Schwok has been arrested after a 100 members of mixed Thai Soldiers, DEA, Tourist Police, Regular Police, fully kitted out Squat [SWAT?} forces, armed with guns and assault rifles, dogs, cameras, following noise complaints and smoke emanating from the building.

Great name for a hostel, why has no one opened one in Sihanoukville. It must save the police so much time to only have to raid one place.

What a dumb twat.
Yeah, like the Thai police are going to go for that BS.The marihuana was Yuval’s personal quantity which he admitted he has used in the past to help him deal with his medical condition (GBS) Guillain Barre Syndrome. The police continued to search his room and found a broken scale which Yuval has used to weigh out ingredients for the craft beer he brews on the premises. They also found some plastic bags which are used for sauces and condiments when the Overstay hosts BBQ nights on the roof.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Are the police in the Land of Smiles as adept at pocketing items in the course of a guesthouse
drugs bust as the police in the Kingdom of Wonder?

it would be nice if they were serious about quashing the party kids. Now they have to go after the "treks" around Chiang Mai, you walk a few hours, happen into a quaint little "village" and guys come out of the bush with hash and opium. I suspect this kind of thing is the MAIN REASON these damn kids are everywhere. Party time. Like that flippin full moon party. Sure as hell they're not here for the fried bugs and temples. Wonder why it took them so long to nail this bunch. They've been at it for a few years. The locals must be VERY patient and tolerant.
