Cows accidentally killed by poisoned pasture

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

And it's ok for people to eat the rice from this field then ? If it's enough to kill a cow, I hate to think what it would do to a kid. The cows eat more of course, but it's still a worry. Or does the poison 'disappear' by the time the rice is harvested ?
They seem to use all sorts of pesticides on the rice here (source: random news articles), and with the dubious amount of food control in Cambodia, it seems obvious that alot of this shit remains in the food and is poisoning the population. :whip:
Including us of course. Who doesn't eat rice in Cambodia ?

Vietnam also has a problem with pesticides in their rice production - even rice for export to the US:
