British Honorary Consular Agent, Neil Bambridge, killed on Koh Samui road.

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

The British Honorary Consular Agent for Koh Phangan was killed on the roads of Koh Samui on Friday Night.

Neal Bambridge, from York in the United Kingdom, had been living in Thailand for twelve years, for the last 3 he was residing in Koh Samui. On Friday night Mr Bambridge was hit by a speeding truck near the One Way Pub in Lamai. The driver of the truck ploughed into two rental cars across the road after hitting him.

Mr Bambridge was described by one of his friends as a “die hard Harley Davidson fan, who loved his stout and British Food’. He leaves his wife Ratchi and son Jorge.

Yes, looks just like I would expect a British Honorary Consular Agent to look:

It's quite possible you just fill in a form as it's not a paid position. Obviously the embassy can't be arsed to send someone over from Bangkok every time someone gets banged up on Samui, so you probably get a little gold star or something and a phone number to ring if it's more than one dead.
