Two bagsnatchers unlock handcuffs and escape police car.
Two police officers were driving four suspects to the court on Tuesday morning when a traffic jam along Monireth Boulevard forced them to stop, said Chhim Bun Rath, deputy Dangkao district police chief.
It was at that point that two men managed to dash out of the car, he said.
“We do not know how they unlocked the handcuffs,” Mr. Bun Rath said.

One escapee was caught but the other is still on the run after a comedy sketch escape:

Escapee Leaves Cops Flat-footed
Police yesterday said they were searching for 18-year-old Yi Sovantin, known as Ah La, after he fled from the back of a police vehicle as it was stopped in traffic in Dangkor district’s Stung Meanchey commune.
Lieutenant Colonel Chhim Bunrath, the deputy district police chief, painted a picture of comic police incompetence as he explained how Mr. Sovantin had managed to escape.
“During the traffic congestion, the suspect took the opportunity to escape, so the police officer who was driving also left the vehicle to arrest him, but he did not move the gear stick to Park, which meant it was still moving,” he told Khmer Times.
This forced his colleague, the only other officer in the vehicle that was transporting four suspects to court, to have to try and stop it rather than also give chase.
Lt. Col. Bunrath said Mr. Sovantin had been arrested on Friday night for stealing the bag from a tourist after being caught by onlookers and being beaten badly enough to require hospital treatment.
Two female detainees in the car did not attempt to flee, he said, while police were able to recapture a third man who had also escaped the vehicle.
Mr. Bunrath blamed a lack of available officers for the escape. He did not comment on why it was possible for the prisoners to apparently open the back door of the vehicle themselves from the inside.
