Re: Poker Question...
Yeah, but from everything I read, it's the deposit time when they decide to verify everything, and some simply block all Americans, just to avoid any problems.Sir_Quality_U_Feel wrote:Can't you use your Cambodian savings/checking account?
I have a basic Canadia Savings account with an ATM card on it. I realize that being in Cambodia, some big players like PayPal don't accept a Cambodian bank account, maybe the poker sites are the same.
It's not a huge deal for me, I was just hoping to use a credit card and link it to a paid account.
Not that simple it seems.

Good, unless you know what you are doing, your really going up against the odds. I would keep "real" money out of the situation until you learn the difference between Texas Hold Em, Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, Irish Hold Em, Carribean Stud etc etc. An actually casino floor helps and surprisingly, in vegas, most staff workers who are not busy are more than happy to explain the rules.General Mackevili wrote:Yeah, but from everything I read, it's the deposit time when they decide to verify everything, and some simply block all Americans, just to avoid any problems.Sir_Quality_U_Feel wrote:Can't you use your Cambodian savings/checking account?

Taking another person's money by beating them at something is fun. Really great feeling.General Mackevili wrote:That's the fun of it.Sir_Quality_U_Feel wrote:

Re: Poker Question...
I never played poker for money, besides a few times with friends. I am confused by your words towards me. What? How am I judging? This isn't a very serious conversation.. Yeah, confused, hah.OrangeDragon wrote:So long as their an adult who entered into the "gamble" knowing that was one of the risks, just as you did, it is.Sir_Quality_U_Feel wrote:Taking another person's money by beating them at something is fun. was clearly being sarcastic, and implying anyone doing so should feel like shit for it. sounds judgemental to me.
and the "you" in my statement was the metaphorical "you" of whoever the person taking the money would be... not you specifically.

What do the online Poker sites require to get a new account outside of the U.S.?General Mackevili wrote:Yeah, but from everything I read, it's the deposit time when they decide to verify everything, and some simply block all Americans, just to avoid any problems.Sir_Quality_U_Feel wrote:Can't you use your Cambodian savings/checking account?

For most accounts a lease, bank account and utility bill are all you need.

Re: Poker Question...
Ahhh, see, I wasn't being sarcastic at all. The world of reading into text, heh. I was being serious. I was applying what I said to a poker game. When you win at poker, that feeling of taking someone's money is great. Obviously not to be confused with robbing someone at gunpoint lol......OrangeDragon wrote:"Taking another person's money by beating them at something is fun. Really great feeling."
