Serial killer of homeless people is 'insane' say police..
Pathum Thani serial killer 'insane', say police
7 Oct 2016 at 19:01
Police believe three homeless people murdered in Pathum Thani's Thanyaburi district this week were killed by a single person they describe as insane and sexually obsessive.
Pol Maj Gen Songphol Watthanachai, deputy police spokesman, said on Friday the manner of death in all three cases was similar - hands tied behind their back with electrical wire and deep cuts to the body, reflecting a mental disorder.
Police on Thursday described the murderer as a serial killer.
The three victims, aged 35-40, were found near Princess Mother National Institute for Drug Abuse Treatment on Phahon Yothin Road from Tuesday to Thursday. The first and third were male, the second female.
Police were combing the vicinity around the crime scenes, especially areas frequented by homeless people, the spokesman said.
Deputy national police chief Chalermkiat Sriworakan said on Friday the condition of the bodies indicated the murderer wanted public attention. Police assumed the killer was insane.
The first victim might have known the killer. The dead woman had been sexually molested and the killer was believed to have tried to rape another homeless woman, Pol Gen Chalermkiat said. He believed the murderer was a scavenger, like the victims.
Pol Maj Gen Amnart Chancharoen, investigative chief of the Provincial Police Region 1, quoted witnesses as saying the suspect was about 160 centimetres tall, usually travelled on a bicycle, appeared drunken and had often drunk with victims...

Surprise. The suspect arrested is a homeless man from M-M-Myanmar...
The officers found his appearance, clothing and bicycle matched a sketch and surveillance footage of a man wanted for three slayings in tambon Prachathipat of Thanyaburi district, Pathum Thani, between Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
Mr Bung ran away when officers approached him but was caught at 6.40pm in Phahon Yothin Soi 18/1. Police seized the bicycle and two mobile phones from him.
The suspect was taken to the Bang Sue police station where he admitted he was the man shown in the police handout but denied any involvement in the murders. He said he fled police because he had entered Thailand illegally and did not want to get caught...

Re: Serial killer of homeless people is 'insane' say police..
The body of a homeless woman who lived under a bridge has been found. A homeless man from Myanmar was arrested for 3 other murders prior to finding the latest body, but the woman may have been killed a few days ago, so the suspect is not off the hook yet.
http://pattayaone.news/en/4th-homeless- ... lat-phrao/THE brutal murder of a homeless woman found yesterday at the Lat Phrao Intersection was likened by police to the recent slayings of three homeless men in Pathum Thani.
The body of the unidentified woman was lying in a makeshift shelter under a U-turn overpass at about 1pm.
A forensic doctor at Police General Hospital said she might have been dead for three or four days...
