At the risk of triggering a religious flamewar...
Re: At the risk of triggering a religious flamewar...
RD , I did mean that is a positive not negative way. I deliver a great deal of training in various mosques and madrassa in the North west of England. I am, in some mosques the only non Muslim, who does so. As an overweight northern white bloke, with close cropped hair, I am not a common sight but I have found a warm and welcoming reception, each and every time, as I have in a couple of synagogues and even a Sikh temple (Preston)Rain Dog wrote:Not just he "debate thing" mate. Mindless Muslim bashing (or bigotry of any kind) rates pretty high on my list of topics I am happy to sink my teeth into.EdinWigan wrote: Rain Dog - generally interested in the whole debate thing.
Hey Ho!
Cheers,
RD
I am very luck to have a subject specialism that is welcomed and respected in all cultures. It also helps with my 'Each to their Own' ethos.
I love to ask questions and always find, without exception, that genuine questions are welcomed. People like to talk about what is important to them and share knowledge. I do draw the line at those who seek to seek to denounce others beliefs in favour of their own. I think they have missed the real point of it all and will ultimately never be genuinely happy, constantly seeking something, they will never attain.

Thanks EW -- Great Post -- just out of curiosity are you able to share what type of training you do?
Taxi, we'd rather walk. Huddle a doorway with the rain dogs

I understood your point earlier in the day, RD, but now you're just out to use that olive branch as a stick to beat me with. I get the whole 9/11 thing, if you need to focus that pain onto me personally as the most recent person to remind you of your loss, go ahead. I genuinely care that you hurt but your own intolerance took over some time back.
I expressed myself poorly late last night, I'm not going to keep justifying myself to you, nor am I interested in being berated by you, no matter how neatly you tie the tolerance bow on at the end there.

Well I have had a very busy, hectic but productive day. I have poured an Asbach Uralt mit Cola and I think I might get a little 'Twatty' personally.

Sounds like a sterling idea. Personally I could go a Chivas. General? G&T, squire?

I could use a night cap. I'd just want a bottle of Jack Daniels to fall asleep with.
