Swede faces trial in Oslo for sex with 13 year old Thai girl

A 34-year-old businessman from Sweden but living in Oslo faces trial in Norway for having had a sexual relation over several years with a Thai girl who was 13 years old when he first had sex with her.
According to the prosecution, he first met the girl when he bought her out of a go-go bar in Koh Samui in 2008. She didn’t speak a word of English, but he was told she was 16 years old. The sexual relationship continued over the coming years at least until 2011. At the age of 14 she became pregnant with his child. Since she gave birth to his child he has sent her around NOK 1,000 (USD 120) a month in child support.

According to the Norwegian state media, NRK, the man’s home was searched not because of the sexual offence but because he was involved in a drug case. Police found photographic sexual material including photos of the girl in Thailand in his computer and in cooperation with police in Thailand, Norwegian investigators found the girl and determined her age...

Swede denies Thai related sexual assault charges

On Thursday 22 September 2016, a 34-year-old Swedish man was in Oslo District Court, charged with having sexually abused a Thai girl since she was 13 years old. He is also accused of being in possession of abusive images of children. The 34-year-old denies the charges saying that he and the 13-year-old girl were in love.

According to the prosecution, the Swede met the girl on Koh Samui in 2008. She came from a poor town in Northern Thailand, and had just arrived on the island with her mother to work as a prostitute and dancer.

In court, the 34-year-old said that he met the girl in a bar where he was told that she was 18 years old. He paid a small amount to the bar to bring the girl to the hotel, and the following days he could take her on a trip around Thailand.

The accused described the journey as a honeymoon and explained that he was in love with the young girl...

Even if it was consensual sex she is underage and it was rape.

well , back than ( not today for sure) i would think a 13 year old does not look 18 EVEN if she had a fake.sisters id ( which would have been in thai )and he couldn't have read it anyway.
