Four Chinese and two Nigerians have been arrested as suspects in two separate electronic card-related thefts in Bangkok, Police Economic Crime Suppression Division deputy commander Pol Colonel Papatdech Ketpan said Thursday.

The Chinese men, who are accused of using fake credit cards in city malls, were arrested on Tuesday at a hotel in Bangkok’s Huai Kwang district. They were identified as Huang Kun, 31, Zhao Biaoyi, 33, Yi Weifeng, 37, and Lang Dagong, 28.

Police also seized nine fake credit cards, 22,700 Yuan (Bt113,500) in cash, two skimmer devices and three computer notebooks.

On the same day, two Nigerian men – Laouari Hassane Babale and Awaisou Ibrahim, both 38 – were arrested in possession of 215 ATM cards issued by Nigerian banks and Bt34,200 cash...
