Foreign bikers violently attack Thais in Pattaya (VIDEO)

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

It seems there is more to the story.

Sounds like all the rest of the gang of Thais all ran away in typical cowardice fashion when the odds changed. I bet if it was an old man or lady driving the car they would have been gang, head kicked or clubbed to death. No sympathy for the one they caught, he's not that badly injured!

Be interesting to see how this pans out. The biker guys hit the Thai's bike and didn't stop so were in the wrong in the first place, the Thai guys react in a group and smash up the car and presumably would have wanted to do the same to the driver given the chance, and the bikers retaliate which unfortunately for them is captured on CCTV and broadcast across all the Thai news and media channels. It's a pity the initial 2 incidents weren't captured on CCTV to put it all into perspective. The Aussie bikers have already been in touch with police through their lawyer to provide their version of events.

The key points for me are :
1) Why weren't the bikers riding bikes ?
2) Why do bikers wear those ridiculous waistcoats in this heat ?
3) Why do all Aussie bikers sport that ridiculous semi-shaven mullet, moustache and goatee combo look ?

6 months in jail for points 2 and 3 seems justified.

Not much of a kicking compared to Muang Thong FC followers almost beating a Port FC fan to death with lumps of wood outside the ground during crowd trouble in Bangkok last week. Police haven't caught the culprits in that one but it was on camera.

CHON BURI— Two tattooed Australian bikers involved in an assault on two Thai brothers in Pattaya reported to police on Friday and paid 150,000 baht in compensation to their victims.

Daniel Anthony Stalley, 34, and John Lee, 43, both members of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, turned themselves in to Pattaya police chief Pol Col Apichai Krobphet and made statements regarding the Sept 17 incident.

They were escorted to the police station by Pol Maj Piyapong Ensarn, tourist police inspector.

The two Australians were among three foreigners captured in CCTV footage beating one of the victims to the ground, with another foreigner allegedly carrying a knife standing nearby.

The incident occurred in front of a beer bar in South Pattaya, Bang Lamung district, on the evening of Sept 17.

After the two-hour questioning session, police said the pair admitted they were involved in the attack on Ponran Chartbut, 22, and his elder brother Natthapong Pooncharoen, 24.

The two agreed to pay 150,000 baht in compensation for damage caused to the two brothers. They also gave 5,000 baht to another man, Nopparat Prakhongyot...
