He left behind 6 kids, according to a Phnom Penh expat who dragged him out of the water and tried to resuscitate him.

"Had one of the most horrific days of my life yesterday, helped carry a Russian guy out of a rough sea onto the beach, I tried in vain to resuscitate the guy with mouth to mouth, but he was already dead ( drowning or heart attack ), I cant stop thinking about it.

He was a expat in Sihanoukville, with 6 kids, I feel so sorry for his Khmer wife to see him like that.

You never know when your time is up, so sad.

Anyone going to Otres, please be careful of the sea this time of year, as the undercurrent can be very treacherous if you are not a strong swimmer.

My thoughts go out to his family.
