British Drug User Martin Stephen Hale Dies of Overdose in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Dean William McWilliams Hospitalized
Re: Accused British Drug Smuggler Martin Stephen Hale Dies of Overdose in Phnom Penh; Dean William McWilliams Hospitaliz
I sympathize with you general.
You can lay a thousand women a year and do they call you stud? NO!
Suck one little tiny itsy bitsy ladyboy cock that you rightfully thought was an engorged clitoris & right away insensitive clouts label you a cocksucker.
Life is just not fair sometimes.
Congratulations on your acquittal although some said it was a hung jury.

John Bingham wrote:Most people would tell the truth if someone had died. It makes a lot more sense than your ridiculous assertion that he was taking morphine for pain. Yeah, sure - that explains why one person died and the other was hospitalized at the same time.phuketrichard wrote:John Bingham wrote:I'd assume that the dead guy's cousin told his bereaved aunt what they had been taking that night that left one of them dead and the other in an ICU. for a bunch of couch surfing people, we sure do assume a hell of a lot here.
would u tell the mom of ur cousin that her son took morphine tablets to have fun?? Hmmmm no sugar coating here
never said HE TOOK THEM for pain, I only asked.....
as to one dying, the other didn't, every person reacts differently to the same drug.Was he taking morphine pills before ( they are usually Prescribed for pain, my mom was on them for cancer)
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

I sent the link where is the proof that he has been acquitted and the General mackevili still does not change the false information in the title. Need criminal record, he was acquitted?

I must agree.Air lines wrote:I sent the link where is the proof that he has been acquitted and the General mackevili still does not change the false information in the title. Need criminal record, he was acquitted?
A link to a reputable newspaper has been provided that clearly states that he was acquitted of all charges related "smuggling." ("Last year he was acquitted of drugs possession with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.") The outlet that reported the acquittal is at least as reputable as the one that reported the arrest 3 years ago. A mod has even cited it as the source of other info. If we believe the newspaper report that he was arrested for 'smuggling' at one point, I can see no reason to doubt the report that he has been acquitted.
Hale is not an "alleged" smuggler or "accused" of smuggling. He may once have been years ago, but as he has been acquitted, he is not an alleged or accused smuggler anymore. It is false to say that he is. Nor is he charged with smuggling. The most that can be said in relation to the smuggling charge, (if anything need be said at all,) is that he "once was" or "had been" arrested and charged with smuggling related offenses, but to be fair and honest about it, it should be added that he was later acquitted of those charges. (In fact the tenses [ie had been] almost requires a follow up with the current state or result [ie acquitted]). Or perhaps even better, give the dead guy a break and not mention the 'smuggling' arrest/acquittal at all, and leave it at what his broken hearted mother said in the article, which is current and indisputably relevant to his current state: "It was morphine tablets that Martin had taken and caused a heart attack. Martin did take drugs, yes." He was a drug user, and, unfortunately, he died of it.
Condolences to the Mom, family and friends.

I respect your view but disagree particularly with regard to the noted mention of 'accused' and insistence this can or should be rescinded.LTO wrote:I must agree.Air lines wrote:I sent the link where is the proof that he has been acquitted and the General mackevili still does not change the false information in the title. Factually this is not possible as the accusation stands, however the accusation was not subsequently founded.
The referenced article does note a charge of a controlled substance which was retained 'on the books'.
It could be a party involved in the smuggling scheme assisted the authorities with their enquiries.

The accusation does not stand. He was acquitted. Do yuou know what that phrase means? It means that the accusation has not been resolved. But it has been resolved. He was acquitted of all smuggling related charges.CJM555 wrote:I respect your view but disagree particularly with regard to the noted mention of 'accused' and insistence this can or should be rescinded.LTO wrote:I must agree.Air lines wrote:I sent the link where is the proof that he has been acquitted and the General mackevili still does not change the false information in the title. No charge or accusation of smuggling remains on the books. The article states;
Last year he was acquitted of drugs possession with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.
A charge of possession of a controlled drug was kept on the books.
Possession is not smuggling. To leave the OP as is is libelous.

The accusation does not stand. He was acquitted. Are you an English speaker?
No charge or accusation of smuggling remains on the books. The article states;
Last year he was acquitted of drugs possession with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.

As a Scottish speaker, a wee reminder of a part of my comment;
Factually this is not possible as the accusation stands, however the accusation was not subsequently founded.
To put this in basic simple terms for you to understand, the definition of an 'accused' individual is following a charge of an offence.
All charges and their outcomes are retained on record for a fair and reasonable period of time, and obviously if matters advance to a public Court which occurred in this case, all relevant information is of public record.
Hence, why you and others can quote acquittal proceedings of a drugs related charge/offence.
Unfortunately, one cannot pick or choose the procedure.
With reference to your 'slander' comment related to the unfortunately deceased drug user.
Very best of the luck with regard to the competencies of both definition and action.
