Sihanoukville: Victory Hill has changed. Photos.

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Made it to the hill! I didn't notice any changes, but probably because I had a comfy pair of beer goggles on by the time we got there.

Whew, still recovering after a very fun night out with bolueeleh. The man can party. :beer3:

I knew it would be a late night out when he bought some raw quail eggs from a midget and put them in his beer, HAHAHA! Not even joking...

And I have fuck all for internet out here on Otres 2, so moving back to civilization tomorrow. The Secret Garden Restaurant has been the highlight of Otres 2, considering the weather has been bad and everything seems closed. The Secret Garden has some of the best food I've had in a while, and a beautiful set-up with great service. That might be the only reason to come out to Otres 2 during the wet season,, LoL.

Thanks again, bolueeleh!

However, all is not lost of the old-style Cambodia - at the end of this new concrete strip leading to Victory beach, there are a few metres after Sakal bungalows that remain unsealed and full of rocks. The people who live at the very bottom of the road look very poor, so they probably couldn't afford to pay, and the tourist places don't care about the end of the road as long as there is concrete outside their place. Unbeatable reasoning. :thumb:
