Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! Mother Looking for Missing Expat Son in Siem Reap

Post by General Mackevili »

I wouldn't normally copy posts over from another discussion forum, but when a concerned mother is looking for her son, it's a different matter.

Here is her post:
LadyMariam wrote:Ok, I know I haven't been on for a while, and some of you criticize me for that, but I need some serious help.

You all know my son, James, has been living in Cambodia since last August, and of course, he had both friends and enemies in the Phnom Penh nightlife scene.

All that aside, he moved to Siem Reap to teach in March. He was doing good making his life better. Now I have some red flags that something could be terribly wrong.

I'm reaching out to find out if anyone knows of any foreigners in a motorcycle accident, bar fight, drug overdose... anything that would cause him to be in the hospital, or worse.

He could be in a hospital with his phone battery run out, and no way to contact. I talked to him 4 days ago. He was at home with a headache and didn't go in to work that day. No contact since. His girlfriend's phone is in the same condition. This is not normal. He bought an old moto with no front brakes on the 15th or 16th. An accident is a real possibility.

He started a new job at a school (I don't know which one), teaching kindergarten. He had been working at Quality Learning International School. I don't know where his apartment is, so I can't send anyone over to check.

Any news or leads would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any information, please help. I'm assuming some people must be friends with him, or at least know him.

Fingers crossed.

One my friend's niece, having her parents waiting after 5 years of absent in Malaysia. Truth is, I couldnt get myself to tell them that she sex trafficked. Anyway, If he is a long hair none shaved blond dude in his early 20s, yea I saw him this morning standing outside with a Khmer staff at Lucky International school doing the welcoming ceremony,

(It's a shame the Ignore function doesn't also apply to quoted posts.) Anyway, moving along . . .

It's not a who-get-it-worse contest. In both cases, there is a mother anguished by not knowing what happened to a child she gave birth to.
And don't make a joke out of having spotted him, if this is not true.

You really need to think before you post and just STFU most of the time.
