cptrelentless wrote:Another entry for this topic, I ate at Penh Neeyum on 7 Makara St just up from City Gold. Khmer place, they do khmer beef fillet steaks, stuffed with garlic. Not massive but only $3.50 each for some tasty fillet, so buy two if you're hungry. Unlike any other restaurant it doesn't come with sides... The service is khmer style and chips are a separate item, so unless you want rice with it try and order the chips first. Even then it's unlikely they'll appear at the same time but the other food wasn't too shabby, either. Immensely popular with the locals, it's full from 7 every day. Private rooms and hungry sexy ladies to have dinner with. I thought there was a wedding on walking through the door with the seats lined up both sides and random women perched on them. They even have big screen movies with no sound for when things get awkward.
been there quite a few times, its worth noting that you can buy a jug of beer for $1.75 :thumb:

I went to the place that Bar-B-Qs whole calves yesterday. $7.50 for a container of beef and one of salad/veg. I made three meals out of it. Bar-B-Q beef on a bun with smoky bar-b-q sauce Yum!

^ I thought those places were banned because the sight of the rotisserie carcasses would incite violence, or was that only in Phnom Penh?
