Cambodian Khmer Rouge cadre says Westerners 'burnt to ashes'
Now the relatives get the truth,
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-cambo ... SKCN0YV1H1The first member of Cambodia's notorious Khmer Rouge regime jailed for the 1970s "Killing Fields" atrocities admitted on Thursday brutally murdering four unidentified Westerners and burning their bodies with piles of tyres.
Kaing Guek Eav, alias "Duch", is testifying at an international tribunal's long-running second case against the deputies of late Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot, whose four-year reign of terror in pursuit of a peasant utopia killed at least 1.8 million Cambodians.
Duch said "Brother Number Two" Nuon Chea had personally instructed him to execute four Westerners, including two Americans, at a school that was turned into a torture center, where more than 14,000 people were killed.
He said the foreigners were killed because they had trespassed into Cambodian waters. The identity of the foreigners remains unknown.
"They were interrogated and smashed per instruction," Duch told the court.
"They had to be burnt to ashes so there is no evidence that foreigners were smashed by us."

This isn't news, it was reported a Duch's trial a few years ago.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Duch also admitted in 2009
But Duch, the first senior Khmer Rouge figure to face trial at the tribunal, denied the story.
"It's hard for me to believe that the prisoner was burned alive. I believe that nobody would dare to violate my order," he told the court. "They had to be killed and then burned to ash."

Wasn't there a book written about the case?
IIRC they identified the young Americans, who'd bought a yacht and got lost off Trat.

Cambodia daily News has story of Duch with names of two of the westerners ordered immolated by Nuon Chea according to Duch.
Caught trespassing in cambo waters 1978.
Michael Scott Deeds
Christopher Edward DeLance
Along with two other westerners unnamed in article.
Have you ever read of the large number of KR members in the controlling political party cabinet? Hmmmmm?

And WHO exactly was present when Sihanouk's five children* and 11-12-13 grandchildren
(accounts differ) failed to survive the DK era?
The vile Sihanouk - knowing this - snuggled up to
the KR later.
* Sihanouk's two sons born of Monique Izzi were spared (supposedly at
Red Chinese insistence)

"A few days later, I received a fax from Ben Kiernan with a list from 1979 of the foreigners who had died in Tuol Sleng prison. Among them were four American tourists not employed by the U.S. government: James William Clark, Lance Manamara, Michael Scott Deed, and Christopher Edward Delance. They were seized from their sailing boat offshore Cambodia and were executed at the prison in April 1978. The prospects of apprehending Pol Pot"
