Senior Ministry officials said that the use of child labor in the country decreased a half in 2013.

Ith Sam Heng Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, said in a meeting between the Project Better Factories Cambodia and Inter on child labor in the textile industry of Cambodia 2014 at Hotel Le Royal recently that in nearly 2 decades, the Royal Government of Cambodia is truly devoted to the future success of the children, a grape hopefuls from countries.

He added that the government has prepared a mechanism strong and effective in the fight against child labor, with a commitment to towards achieving the goals of reducing child labor in 2015 to 8 percent guarantee education for all in 2015 and join the process towards the end of severe forms of child labor in 2016.

The minister added that Seeing the efforts of all of us Ministry United States decided to aid 10 million to contribute with the Cambodian government in the process towards the goal of twins is 1, the Ministry and the training professional decision to achieve the goals of reducing child labor in 2015 to 8 percent and 2 Ministry of Education, ensuring education for all by 2015.

Report of the Institute of Statistics of the Ministry presented by the Ministry of Labour confirmed that the use of child labor in the country has decreased more than half in 2013.

The report said that the number of child labor in Cambodia fell from $ 750,000 to $ 429,380 people and worst forms of child labor has decreased from 253,000 people to just 236,498 people, although population growth has increased from 10 million in 2001 to more than 14 million people in 2013, however.
