I am going over to the station this morning and will get all the info I can and report back.

Some pretty nice cars on that flatbed.
Anyway, thanks BDS for all the sleuthing: finding the station (LOL), publishing the ticket prices and shooting the vehicle transfer service.

I visited the station. There is no timetable available per se.
Service now is Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Friday leaves Phnom Penh 3 PM, other days 7 AM.
There are 2 trains, one with AC. So whether you get AC or not depends on your origin and the day.
There is no difference in price for AC.
Thinking of taking the 3 PM to Takeo for an overnight and a boat ride out to the archaeology.
Supposedly a good hotel there with an OK resto.

Now you can take your car down to the beach and back for $20.
Railway service can now transport autos
Fri, 13 May 2016
Cambodia's recently revived passenger rail service, which operates on weekends and holidays, is not just transporting passengers between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, it is allowing them to take their cars along with them, John Guiry, CEO of Royal Railways, said yesterday.
He said up to 20 vehicles will join their passengers on tomorrow’s train to the coast – the second such trip transporting vehicles since Prime Minister HE took the train two weeks ago. One-way passenger tickets cost $6, while the fare on an accompanying car is $10, or $4 for a motorbike. Spaces for vehicles are limited.

I hope to use the rail service to deliver a vehicle to SKV Mon. or Tue. If at least one of the vehicles I see is near as advertised. We'll see. Will take photos & give report.
I wonder how they secure the vehicles? Used moto inner tubes? Hmmm.
