Drunk tuktuk driver injures tourists at Angkor Wat.
http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/24029/ ... k-crashes/Two female tourists were injured in a traffic accident caused by their drunk tuk-tuk driver on their way to Angkor Wat in Siem Reap province on Tuesday, according to police.
Provincial traffic police department chief Lieutenant Colonel Chim Sovann, who did not reveal the pair’s names, said one came from the United States and the other was from Malaysia. They are now returning to their countries after being treated at the provincial hospital.
Lt. Col. Sovann said his department is preparing documents to file a complaint against the tuk-tuk driver, 45-year-old Leang Ly, at court.
“If we keep silent on this it will happen again in the future,” he said. He said Mr. Ly had drunk six cans of beer before agreeing to take the two tourists to see Angkor Wat, but then drove into a pole on the side of the road...
Six cans of beer...surprised that he could still stand up.
