British Tourists Carmen Pepita Gaskin and Lee Fishlock Injured in Hit and Run Accident in Sihanoukville

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

SV is under construction everywhere. The road here is under major construction as you can see in the photos. At the moment, there's only one side of the road that is sealed, so of course, everyone drives on this side, or tries to anyway. There is not enough room for everyone, so big goes first, as is the custom here.
Sad thing is that once the road is widened it will be easier to drive fast, and therefore will be more dangerous.

This story has a happy ending. Their friends managed to set up a GoFundMe account and raise £250 so that they wouldn't go broke and have to end their holiday short.

"As you are all aware our lovely friends Lee and Carmen are currently away travelling. Tragically they were involved in an accident between themselves on a bike and a car. Unfortunately this has now set the guys back £250 and they are having to cut their travels short. I ask you all to donate even a small amount so they can enjoy the rest of their travels. Stay safe guys xx"
