Tinder

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Tinder

Post by Duncan »

I just read where Tinder is all the rage in Australia for picking up '' partners. '' I cannot use it, cause I still have one of those ''dumb'' phones, but do the Cambodians use it?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Tinder is huge in many places in the world. Apparently all the athletes at the winter Olympics were using it to hook up with each other.

Never heard of a Cambodian using it. I think here the good local girls are on Facebook and the sex workers use Badoo as another way to find clients. That is about as tech savy as they get. Even Okcupid isn't really used here despite being very popular in many places around the world.

Maybe some of the NGO intern women looking for flings while they are in town for a couple of months are using Tinder?

Don't use it in Cambodia. It'll show you only the tourists.

It is!

I believe it's the best option (as as free online dating goes) to meet Western chicks here in Cambodia.

I have it installed. Never use it.

A few dudes at a hipster expat party where saying they've used it to line up dates.

There are ALL SORTS of Cambodian chicks that use Badoo, not just taxi girls.

Seriously, many are working professionals and mess around on Badoo while at work, etc.

The bad news (for me at least, LoL) is that it seems to have a bunch of ladyboys on there now. No biggie, they're easy to spot and avoid.

And many of the Phnom Penh bar girls on there are quick to tell you they work at a bar.

Many good catches to be found on Badoo.

Another good one to look into is called "Twoo".

Same same but different.
"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

Do you mean backpacking chicks that are away from home for the first time and blind drunk from binge drinking.

OK , I thought about it and I'm joining up .

Duncs - here's how it works - if you look at someones profile, you can "like" them. If they also see your profile and "like" you, then the mutual "like" allows you to get in touch with each other. So you better not be butthead ugly, or else you will have no chance!

Even then it doesn't necessarily mean they'll talk to you or agree to meet up.
