Re: Replacement for Zolpidem/Stilnox?
I only got about 2½ hours of sleep last night. I doubt I'll need anything tonight.

Well, I'm caught up on Game of Thrones now.
Episode 10, the season finale, is downloading at home.
And damned if I didn't just read a huge spoiler by mistake.

I struggled with Insomnia my whole life... and then I realized, I'm just a Night Owl, though sometimes I still stay up till 6 am, I prefer to be asleep by 2 - 3 am. I was never good in the mornings anyways.

I worked shift for too long just after puberty, and have never been able to reset my Circadian rhythm.FreeSocrates! wrote:I struggled with Insomnia my whole life... and then I realized, I'm just a Night Owl, though sometimes I still stay up till 6 am, I prefer to be asleep by 2 - 3 am. I have absolutely no scientific evidence but I suspect circadian rhythms are changeable and different for each person.
May sound like a stupid question, but:
Did you enjoy working at night more than working during the day?

Yeah, very much so. I loved the city at night, and the work that I did.FreeSocrates! wrote:I have absolutely no scientific evidence but I suspect circadian rhythms are changeable and different for each person.

Maybe you're a night owl, if you're not already.
Of course I have no idea, but I know just accepting this and not trying to adjust to the "normal world" it really helped my Insomnia.

Fair point, and I'm sleeping through to 11am anyway for other reasons - possibly get a little more tricky when I start working, though!FreeSocrates! wrote:Maybe you're a night owl, if you're not already.
